Ecc 5:4-5, “When you make a vow to God, do not delay to fulfill it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow. It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it (NIV). “Vow, and pay to the Lord your God,” Psalm 76:11.
People really learn how to trust you when you’re faithful and keep your word. How valuable it would be to earn God’s trust?
If you forget what you promised Him, like I’ve done, He’ll remind you. Then it’s up to you to follow through. I got it in my head to send my 3 sisters, “The Hiding Place” by Corrie ten Boom, because I loved the father figure in it. Some time went by, then my church was giving away used books, including “The Hiding Place”. I then fulfilled what I originally thought didn’t affect Him. He will honor what you do, and bear fruit through it.
