Here’s a review of a few books I read last year, my shout out to Life With Jesus’s motivating and thorough Book Review: https://lifewithjesus.blog/2021/01/01/a-year-in-books-2020
God Is With You Everyday, Max Lucado. 2015 by Thomas Nelson.
Pastor Max’s 365 day devotional filled with previously published works from Glory Days, On The Anvil, Outlive Your Life, and others. A first to having ever read anything by him, I’m so grateful for his warm, loving, fatherly and humble method and his vlogs and other teachings through Covid and beyond.
The Shack, Wm. Paul Young. 2007 by Windblown Media.
God said He wanted me to read this book, which went smoothly while picturing scenes from the movie. This fiction draws you in where the father has face to face meetings with God and learns deeply about Him, Jesus, Holy Spirit and the spirit of Wisdom and their take of the tragedy he suffered.
Saint Francis Of Assisi, E.M. Almedingen. 1967 by Alfred A. Knopf.
True story of much loved Francis of Assisi, who renounced his rich heritage to obey Jesus Christ’s calling to ‘build His church.’ He’s an outcast even with the Catholic Church and only through many years serving the Lord and others, do they come around. I’ve heard about and loved Saint Francis all my life and it’s lovely to see how faithful to Jesus he was.
“Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.”
Mark 8:34
