Lifting Out Of Depression

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.”

Psalm 23:4

“Rise up and walk”   Acts 3:6

“As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me.”    John 6:57

  • Remember and write down 10 things you are thankful for (one night I did this, the next day a friend needed encouragement)  Pastor Max Lucado teaches ABC’s of thankfulness, your can go all the way to Z, and start over if you need!
  • Refresh Yourself: take a shower, do the laundry, use a different cologne, take a walk outside, read all the ** Gospels (God shows Matthew thru Revelations are Good News 😃 Oct 24, ’22)
  • Pray for others who might be having depressive thoughts, too, whether you know the people or not, in family, neighborhood, school, work, church, as so:  Father, I life up anyone around me starting to be depressed.  Right now, Lord I plead Your blood over them, for protection, Your light to shine, wisdom, hope, clear thinking, kindness from a friend or neighbor, help in Jesus name!
  • Check validty of depressive thoughts “that’s not even true!” I countered once lol.  Yes, you’ll get through this, the sun will come up tomorrow!

Once waiting for worship to start I counted 10 things I was grateful for.  Then I was filled with thankfulness and joy, worshipping with all my heart.
