Jean Valjean answers young Cosette in Les Misérables, 2019, PBS

“You received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,”

Romans 8:15, 16

Papa Valjean is grace, adopting Cosette as a child, having received grace from the Pastor he stole from, and is grace again and again.

First saw Les Mis at a NYC Theatre with my party friend who cried, Nuns in habits seated nearby.  She was better than me, for she let her heart be pierced. The amount God pierces my heart now shows His compassion in me.
