‘They Had God’

My friend said about the Israelites in the desert, where I used to think at that time they lacked for not having the Bible like we do.

And in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.

To show you the way you should go, in the fire by night and in the cloud by day. Deuteronomy 1:31 and 33

My friend reminds me I don’t always need to carry around the Bible when evangelizing. And since Lord Jesus, we have the Holy Spirit of God

However when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come. John 16:13
